Manufacturing of knitting and weaving tools and accessories for the textile industry has a long tradition in Chemnitz.
Crucially important for the longest possible longevity of these products is heat treatment. To protect the know-how acquired over many years our parts are produced and finished in-house to this day.
This has not changed even after the takeover of the Saxon Needle and Sinker Factory (Naplafa) by Schmietex Engineering in 2022.
As specialists in hardening small and micro-sized parts, our customers in a wide range of industries benefit from our long-standing expertise.
We can reliably harden parts made of carbon steels on a Borel band through-running furnace and a Safed shaker furnace. The parts are then assembled and cleaned in an ultrasonic washing system and dried in our induction ovens to the desired level of moisture.
